Day 25 & 26 Bundaberg
Day 25 & 26 tuesday wednesday
Arrived at jean & Petes place at Burnett Heads. Settled in then went and got Ed’s new Car/caravan mirrors. No more swearing at truck drivers when they blow in the mirrors when they pass us lol.
Later that afternoon Ed dropped me at the RSL to meet old colleague & friend Mr Norman
5 glasses of wine later Eddie, jean & pete arrived to meet me for dinner. Great to catch up David but i did get to regret the wines later lol.
On Wednesday Eddie & I just did a general browse through town. I go in and check out the chocolate and i come out with my Bertie Beetles inly to see that my husband has bought himself a new pair of binoculars hmmmm. We went and had lunch at the famed Grunske’s by the river. Lovely lunch. Next stop was the Iconic Rum Distillery. We bypassed the tour and just went to the shop and got 2 t-shirts for us and a bottle of 12 year old rum. Cant wait to crack that puppy. Next stop was “The Barrel” to do a soft drink tasting of all 18 flavours of Bundaberg brewed softdrinks. For $12 you got the tasting and take home 6 pack of your choice. I got apple cider, guava, lemonade, passionfruit all good mixers for gin lol.
Doesnt seem right that i put up photos of a soft drink tasting instead of rum tasting hmmmm i felt it was strange . Back to casa foss and eddie puts on the roast lamb and i sit back like lady muck. Life is good.
