Day 12 Cooktown-waterfront-grassy hill-black mountain-lions den

 Day 12

First thing we did this morning was head to the Grassy Hill Lookout and tread in the footsteps of Captain James Cook. Beautiful 360 degree view of Cooktown

Next stop was Black Mountain. OMG what a fascinating mountain. its just boulders then goes to normal mountain type terrain. But these “boulder mountains” just make you go WOW. Any way the photos will explain why they exist.

Next stop was to the Lions Den just a pub in the scrub but everyone says go there. Its our sort of pub with lots of character

The last stop before we went back for a sleep before state of origin was the waterfront to see where Captain Cook beached the Endeavour for 6 weeks to do repairs.

And that is where i will leave you. Ed & I are currently at the Top End Pub having dinner and a view drinks. eddie is watching the football whilst I write the blog. Tomorrow will be a waterfall day. See ya’sxx
